Canada’s Housing Design Catalogue includes 7 regional chapters offering 50 low-rise home designs. Each design is developed by local architecture and engineering teams to align with regional building codes, planning rules, climate zones, construction methods and materials. As part of Canada’s Housing Plan, the catalogue is one of many initiatives to make housing more affordable and attainable for Canadians. It offers adaptable options for homeowners, builders and communities to fit a range of housing needs.

Zanesville has been operating its pre-reviewed program since 2023 and can turn around building permits within a few days. To date, 15 developers have utilized the plans, with 17 pre-approved designs constructed in 2024.
